Science Technician - Full Time (5 Days per Week)
Location: Secondary Schools across Lewisham
Contract: Full Time, Term Time (with potential for progression)
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Technician to join a network of inclusive and supportive secondary schools in Lewisham. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about science education and enjoys working as part of a collaborative school community.
The Role
As a Science Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality science lessons by ensuring laboratories are well-prepared, safe, and fully resourced. You will work closely with teaching staff and students across a range of secondary school settings.
Key Responsibilities

Preparing and setting up equipment and materials for science lessons

Ensuring laboratories meet health and safety requirements

Maintaining, organising, and ordering scientific equipment and resources

Supporting practical experiments across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics

Assisting teachers during practical lessons when required

Safely storing and disposing of chemicals and materials
What We're Looking For

A strong interest in science (GCSE/A-Level science or equivalent desirable)

Experience working in a school or laboratory environment (preferred but not essential)
