Science Technician - Full Time (5 Days per Week)
Location: Secondary Schools across Lewisham
Contract: Full Time, Term Time (with potential for progression)

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Technician to join a network of inclusive and supportive secondary schools in Lewisham. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about science education and enjoys working as part of a collaborative school community.

The Role

As a Science Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality science lessons by ensuring laboratories are well-prepared, safe, and fully resourced. You will work closely with teaching staff and students across a range of secondary school settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing and setting up equipment and materials for science lessons

• Ensuring laboratories meet health and safety requirements

• Maintaining, organising, and ordering scientific equipment and resources

• Supporting practical experiments across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics

• Assisting teachers during practical lessons when required

• Safely storing and disposing of chemicals and materials

What We're Looking For

• A strong interest in science (GCSE/A-Level science or equivalent desirable)

• Experience working in a school or laboratory environment (preferred but not essential)

• Good organisational and time-management skills

• A proactive, reliable, and flexible approach

• A commitment to supporting young people in an inclusive learning environment
