We are recruiting a skilled Site Maintenance Operative to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role offers a Monday to Friday shift pattern from 8:30am to 5:00pm and will be primarily based at our Northampton and Milton Keynes sites, with occasional support required at other sites in the area.

The Role

As a Site Maintenance Operative, you will ensure that our premises across the Northampton and Milton Keynes areas are maintained safely and effectively, meeting Health & Safety and customer requirements.

Working as part of a dedicated team, you will support and monitor contractors on site, ensuring compliance with risk assessments and method statements.

You will also conduct routine and scheduled maintenance inspections and basic repairs, as well as carrying out plumbing, carpentry, and painting tasks to keep our sites fully operational.

Additionally, you will:

- Update information via our electronic online portal
- Identify and report the need for major repairs
- Use PPE as required
- Undertake regular site audits and escalate any abnormalities

About You

To be considered as a Site Maintenance Operative, you will need:

- At least two years’ experience in general building maintenance
- Basic plumbing and carpentry skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Good organisational and problem-solving abilities
- A good level of IT literacy
- A full, valid driving licence with no more than 6 points

Please note, this role involves physical, practical labour and may occasionally involve working at heights.
