Job Title: Process Engineer
Location: Sandwich, Kent
Salary: £DOE
Hours: Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm

You will be responsible for optimising manufacturing processes, improving efficiency and ensuring the highest product quality.

Key responsibilities within your new role would be to:
- Assist with the planning of day-to-day manufacturing.
- Plan for the recovery of material in manufacturing runs.
- Compile information that is required for work orders.
- Complete tasks on the company's ERP system that revolve around the work order process.
- Liaise with departments to ensure the smooth and continued high standards of manufacturing.
- Be part of preventative problem solving in the form of process improvement projects.
- Solve reactive problems that could occur during the manufacturing process.
- Provide justifications for the solutions suggested improvements.
- Have a level of involvement in quality control and research and development activities.
- Understand how testing is done and why each test is carried out.
- Learn how to perform FTIR analysis, as well as other analytical procedures.
Experience and skills required for this position:
- An Engineering qualification.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate with people of different levels.
- The ability to use Microsoft packages including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- A sound understanding of CAD (Computer Aided Design) is a must.
- The ability to work as part of a team or on your own initiative.
- An understanding of organic chemistry would be desirable.
