Trainee Paint Sprayer

Salary: £12.21 – £13.00 per hour

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (40 hours per week)

Syntech Recruitment Solutions are recruiting for a Trainee Paint Sprayer to join a well-established sign manufacturing business, producing bespoke signage and display pieces for clients across the UK.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in spray painting and surface finishing. No previous spraying experience is required — full training will be provided — but a genuine interest in hands-on manufacturing work is essential. Due to location, own transport is strongly preferred.

The Role – Trainee Paint Sprayer

Working within the spray shop, you will be trained to support the full paint and finishing process, including:

• Preparing components for spraying (metal, plastic, MDF, and timber)
• Masking, cleaning, sanding, and surface preparation
• Assisting experienced sprayers with set-up and application
• Learning wet spray techniques (and exposure to powder coating where applicable)
• Carrying out basic quality checks on finished parts
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised spray area
• Adhering to all Health & Safety procedures

The Ideal Candidate

No experience is required, however applicants will demonstrate:

• A strong interest in spray painting, coatings, or manufacturing
• A practical, hands-on approach to work
• Good attention to detail
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• Reliability and willingness to learn
• Ability to commute to site near Blackwater (own transport preferred)
