Salary: £12.50 per hour

Job Type: Full time, Permanent

The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated team member to join our modern and well-equipped workshop facilities in Middlesbrough. This role will provide an opportunity to learn within the company from the ground up, providing an insight on which future career path you may wish to pursue. Previous workshop assistants have moved into progressive roles within the Transport department, EU/UK Logistic, Tank Fleet Maintenance and UK/USA stores.

The successful candidate will be provided with training in house training, for all aspects of their role.

No previous experience is required, but a "hands on" approach to physical work is essential.

Principal duties

  • Vehicle workshop housekeeping.
  • Disposing of waste materials appropriately, adhering to safety procedures.
  • Transporting parts and equipment for the department.
  • Chemical hose pressure testing and maintenance of records.
  • MOT vehicle preparation.
  • Providing support to Transport Fitters, ensuring a safe working environment.

  • Ability to safely follow instructions.

Required as a minimum.

  • Full UK Driving Licence

  • Minimum 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri, with some overtime when required.
