Manufacturing Technician
Overview
We are seeking a motivated and adaptable Manufacturing Technician to support the production of high-quality in vitro diagnostic products. This role involves hands-on manufacturing activities, equipment preparation, documentation control, and collaboration with technical and quality teams to ensure smooth and compliant operations.
Key Responsibilities
Manufacturing & Production Support
- Manufacture and filter bulk reagents, including making adjustments based on QC performance feedback.
- Prepare and sterilise equipment, utensils, and materials required for product manufacture.
- Prepare solid phase components for ELISA/CLIA in vitro diagnostic products.
- Operate filling lines and support filling activities as required.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance, checks, and verifications.
- Assist with the assembly and packing of finished products.
Documentation & Quality Compliance
- Complete all production-related documentation accurately and promptly.
- Escalate issues to the line manager as they arise.
- Use the company’s Quality Management System to ensure procedural compliance.
- Support periodic document reviews and updates where necessary.
- Comply with all quality, HR, and EHS policies.
Continuous Improvement & Technical Support
- Contribute to approved site projects to support timely delivery.
- Assist in validation and qualification activities for new equipment or processes.
- Collaborate with the technical department on investigation testing.
- Maintain adequate supplies of standards, reference components, and inventory stock, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly.
- Provide cover for the line manager during periods of absence.
- Remain flexible and adaptable to support additional tasks essential to operational needs.
Skills, Experience & Knowledge
- Science-based education or relevant practical experience (desirable).
- Understanding of one or more manufacturing processes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Good numeracy skills.
Willingness to learn new skills to support manufacturing operations
