Hours : 7-3, 3-11, 11-7
Pay: £23,809 - £28,457
Contract type: Permanent following 3 months probation
Role Summary
A Liquid Mixer is responsible for accurately preparing and blending liquid-based food ingredients in accordance with production specifications, ensuring consistent product quality, safety, and efficiency throughout the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor mixing and blending machinery to ensure accurate preparation of liquid food batches.
- Read and interpret recipes, batch sheets, and work orders, ensuring correct ingredient measurements and mix ratios.
- Measure, weigh, and load ingredients (liquids, powders, concentrates) according to production formulas.
- Monitor mix times, temperatures, and product consistency, adjusting machine settings as needed.
- Perform quality control checks and record all test results accurately.
- Maintain production records and logs, documenting batch details and deviations.
- Clean and sanitize mixers, tanks, utensils, and work areas according to GMP & food safety standards.
- Follow HACCP, GMP, PPE, and all safety procedures, including handling chemicals (where applicable).
- Inspect raw materials for quality and consistency before use.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and report defects or maintenance needs.
- Coordinate with Production and Quality teams to meet schedules and standards.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise recipes.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced food-production environment.
- Basic math skills for measurement, scaling, and verification.
- Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness practices.
- Mechanical aptitude for operating mixing tanks, pumps, valves, and related equipment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
