Immunocore are looking to recruit a Business Administrator apprentice. You will help support the EU Commercial team across European markets and work with the broader commercial team on cross functional projects.

Qualification Requirements
5 GCSEs at grades C/4 or above (or equivalent) including Mathematics and English.

Salary - £22,000 per annum

Working Hours
Monday to Thursday: 09:00am – 17:00pm with a 45 minute unpaid lunch break.

Friday: 09:00am - 16:15pm with a 45 minute unpaid lunch break.

Duration - 18 months

Start Date - October 2026

Job Description

Immunocore have an opportunity in our European Commercial group for a Business Administrator apprentice. We are looking for enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals who would relish the chance to learn from Immunocore’s cutting-edge science and corporate growth.

Job Responsibilities

• Support the EU Commercial team across European markets where the product is currently available, while enabling readiness and alignment for potential future product launches as appropriate. Work with the broader commercial team on cross functional projects – spanning sales, marketing, data analytics and insights.

• Support company’s commercial partnerships across geographies as required.

• End to end exposure of promotional marketing campaigns, including:

o Interacting with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. marketing agencies)

o Involvement in the LMR process – using Internal review software and managing workflows.

o Working with the field team to co- create materials to support the field sales team.

• Support with UK contract approvals and contract management support, processing of invoices, and PO management in conjunction with procurement, legal and finance.

• Work with the wider commercial teams on cross functional projects.

• Work with compliance, medical and regulatory teams to ensure adherence to strict pharmaceutical guidelines.

• Tracking of in country commercial budget aligned with finance.

• Overseeing the Marketing Materials tracker (Smartsheet).

• Maintain the hard copy archives in the marketing cupboard - ensuring the certificates and materials are properly sorted and filed per country.

• Work with the Manager, Commercial Operations, to provide internal systems support for external and Immunocore field teams.

• Support the planning and execution of events – including all EU Commercial and Medical Team meetings.

Candidate Skills:

• Has good organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.

• Is self-motivated to achieve high quality results within defined timeframes.

• Demonstrates attention to detail and ability to appropriately prioritize and perform multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.

• Has a good understanding of Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.

• Takes a broad perspective to solve problems, sometimes choosing among less obvious approaches to identify solutions.

Personal Qualities:

• Hard-working.

• Ability to solve problems, interact with others and manage a varied workload.

• Is self-motivated to achieve high quality results within defined timeframes.

• Attention to detail.

• Has good organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.

• Can use own judgment to make decisions, non-routine issues within and outside of scope of responsibilities., using judgment to set own schedule.

• This would suit someone with an interest in science and a non-lab based career (e.g. marketing or project management)


Training To Be Delivered

Qualification to be delivered: Level 3 Business Administration

Apprenticeship Standard: Business Administrator

Training Provider: Arden University

Delivery model: The training for this apprenticeship will be delivered online


Future Prospects

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will be eligible to apply for other positions within the business.
