Energy Data Administrator

Are you looking to kickstart your career in the energy sector? We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Energy Data Administrator to join our team. This entry-level role is perfect for a recent graduate with strong analytical skills and a keen interest in the UK energy market.
As a Energy Data Administrator, you will play a vital role in managing electricity meter registration processes, working with industry stakeholders, supporting the onboarding of Third-Party Intermediaries and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of registration and commission processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end registration of electricity supply meters, ensuring timely and accurate onboarding across industry systems and internal platforms.
- Liaise with industry stakeholders (e.g., Data Collectors, Meter Operators, Distributors) to resolve registration exceptions and maintain data accuracy.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Operations, Pricing, Sales) to support smooth customer transitions and early-life supply management.
- Monitor and analyse registration data to identify and rectify issues impacting settlement, billing or compliance.
- Lead the onboarding process for TPIs, ensuring due diligence checks and commission structures are accurately configured.
- Coordinate TPI commission payments and reporting in collaboration with Finance and Commercial teams.
- Develop and maintain internal documentation and process maps relating to registration and TPI onboarding.
- Support audit and compliance processes related to metering data and industry obligations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and help build scalable registration workflows.
About You
- A strong academic background with a degree in Business, Energy, Geography, Environmental Science, Economics or another numerate discipline.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to stakeholder engagement.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel; experience with CRM or registration platforms is an advantage.
- Knowledge of database query tools, SQL and/or Python would be a bonus.
- An interest in UK electricity markets, retail energy supply or industry settlement processes.
- A positive, solutions-focused mindset with a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
