Full Job Description

A vibrant secondary school in Waltham Forest is hiring a Graduate Science Technician to join their team in January 2026. If you love science and enjoy practical, hands-on work, this role gives you the chance to support engaging experiments and help maintain a busy science department.

This is an excellent stepping stone for graduates interested in teaching, research or laboratory careers.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Preparing materials and equipment for biology, chemistry and physics practicals
  • Supporting teachers and students during experiments
  • Ensuring labs remain safe, tidy and compliant with regulations
  • Maintaining stock, equipment and chemical inventories

The school is looking for:

  • A science graduate (any discipline welcome)
  • Someone reliable, organised and willing to learn
  • A candidate with good awareness of lab safety (training provided)
  • A practical, hands-on approach to problem solving
