Manufacturing Technician I
Location: Loughborough
Shift: Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (37.5 hours per week)
Pay Rate: £13.20 per hour (£24,258 equivalent)
Contract: 6 Months (Potential for extension or conversion)
The Role
We are looking for a motivated and reliable Manufacturing Technician to join our production team. This is an entry-level role perfect for someone looking to build a career in a professional laboratory chemicals environment.
You will start by focusing on the safe packing and labeling of products, with the opportunity to be trained on complex chemical filling and equipment operation as you progress toward a Level II technician role.
Key Responsibilities
Packing & Labeling: Accurately pack various chemicals into containers and outer packaging.
Equipment Operation: Use manual and automatic filling machines, labellers, and weighing equipment.
Quality Control: Match batch numbers and product codes to ensure 100% accuracy.
Safety & Maintenance: Follow strict COSHH and manual handling guidelines, perform daily safety checks, and maintain a clean workspace (5S).
Logistics: Palletise completed orders and prepare them for safe transfer to the warehouse.
