Working Hours:  Rotating Days – Mon-Fri 6am-2pm & 2pm-10pm
Payrate: £15.27 per hour
Contract type: Full time, perm (paid weekly in arrears)

About the role:
This position forms a crucial part of the initial stage of biscuit production. It is a hands-on, fast-paced, and highly team-orientated environment where clear communication is essential. The role requires strong common sense, the ability to follow processes accurately, and the confidence to work independently when needed.
Each shift begins with reviewing the rota sheet, which outlines your assigned line or plant for the day. You will then check the recipe sheet to ensure the mixing machinery is set correctly, including ingredient weights, mix quantities, and operational settings.

Key Responsibilities:
Mixer:

  • Work from recipe sheets to set up and operate the mixer correctly.
  • Ensure ingredients are added in the correct order and quantity as specified.
  • Conduct quality checks on the mixture, including consistency, colour, and texture.
  • Manage “Add Ons” — additional chemical ingredients (e.g., soda, salt) that must be measured and added manually.Collaborate with the Chemical Maker, who prepares the chemical bl...
