Full Job Description

An opportunity has arisen within a fast-growing, multidisciplinary organisation based in the Hertfordshire area for an experienced technician to join a team of scientists and engineers, reporting to the Assay Development Manager.

The role involves formulating and preparing reagents for the assay development department, as well as undertaking quality control checks and performing PCR.

The job holder will work alongside research scientists and technicians to ensure laboratory facilities run efficiently, and that reagents are prepared and maintained to the highest standards.

Requirements

The essential requirements for this role are:

  • BSc or MSc in Life Sciences, Molecular Biology, or a related discipline
  • Experience working in a laboratory setting
  • Experience working within QA/QC laboratories
  • Experience with PCR technologies and a good knowledge of GLP
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise workload effectively
  • Working knowledge of ISO 13485
  • A proactive, “can-do” attitude
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
