Trainee Laser Operator

Salary:

• £28,000.00 per annum during training
• Increase to £30,000.00 per annum after successfully completing the training period c.6 months

Our client has an excellent opportunity to join a manufacturing company with over 34 years’ experience in a specialised manufacturing process who produce precision engineered products to a wide range of print industries. Thay are proud to be part of an International Group with over 500 employees across 10 international sites, specialising in high-precision engineering, coatings, inks, and advanced manufacturing solutions.

Due to continued growth, they are looking for a motivated, detail-driven individual to join a highly successful team.

Who They’re Looking For

The candidate will be trained to become a fully skilled Laser Machine Operator, and the role requires experience of preferably mechanical or electrical engineering.

This role would be suited to a CNC Operator however this is not an essential prerequisite for this job.

This is a technical role requiring a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

The Role

Duties will include the setting and laser engraving of precision printing rollers, working to high tolerances and in accordance with specific job specifications, per each customer.

Initial Training Hours

Monday to Thursday, 08:00 – 16:00 and Friday, 08:00 – 15:30, with a 30-minute lunch break.

Fully Trained Hours

Once fully trained and qualified for the position the candidate will be required to work a shift rotation system, comprising of the following three shifts:

• 6am – 2pm (Morning Shift)
• 8am – 4pm (Standard Day Shift)
• 2pm – 10pm (Evening Shift)

* Shift Allowance applicable at £14 per day, paid continuously and during annual leave.

What's On Offer

Our client offers 22 days holiday per year which will increase after 5 years to 23 days and thereafter every 2 years, an extra day will be given up to the limit of 27 days.

The basic salary during training is £28,000.00 per annum, which will increase to £30,000.00 per annum after successfully completing the training period of approximately six months.
