Manufacturing GMP Chemist / Operative

We are hiring for a chemical operator who can follow SOP’s and batch sheets in the manufacture of fine chemicals. This is a role that may appeal to Synthesis Chemists keen to be involved in manufacturing, or Chemical Process Operators with experience of manufacturing, which this is a very similar role to and you will find your skills transfer to.

The client is a world leading developer and manufacturer of life sciences products. The role will be working in a purpose build manufacturing facility which will manufacture materials under GMP.

What you’ll do:

You will work as part of the team to deliver assigned products, following standard operating processes and batch sheets as defined and within timescales.

This will involve working with a defined process and ensuring that all steps are recorded, with any deviations noted.

Contribute to the quality management systems and performances by working in the best way possible and reviewing and updating procedures as required.

Communicate with the team on workload prioritisation, progress, any issues and other information that is pertinent.

Work in a safe, tidy and in compliance with all regulations.

Your background:

We are keen to consider candidates from a range of backgrounds as different qualities can be useful. Either the academic route or those who have followed the training route in a Chemical Process role we will be very interested to talk to about this.

Knowledge of practical chemistry, working with chemicals and any organic chemistry knowledge is useful.

Good knowledge of Health and Safety .

High level of personal productivity and strong communication skills.

Desirable - experience and knowledge of GMP.
