Full Job Description
Our client, a well-established manufacturer within the cosmetics and personal care sector, is seeking Mixing/Process Operators to join their Manufacturing team. Opportunities are available on both the 06:00–14:00 and 14:00–22:00 shifts.
Working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, you will be responsible for the accurate weighing of raw materials, blending liquid products, managing stock movements, and ensuring all manufacturing activities are completed safely and efficiently. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in manufacturing, chemical processing, or production operations who is looking to develop their career within a growing business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately weigh raw materials and chemicals for the manufacture of cosmetic, personal care, and household products.
- Blend and manufacture liquid bulk products in accordance with approved methods of manufacture and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure all products are manufactured to the required quality standards and production schedules.
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures and safe systems of work when handling chemicals and operating equipment.
- Complete all production and stock documentation accurately and efficiently.
- Receive chemical deliveries, including unloading vehicles, booking stock into the system, labelling, and storing materials correctly.
- Maintain accurate stock records and ensure all inventory movements are recorded within the warehouse management system.
- Support the achievement of departmental KPIs and operational targets.
- Identify and resolve process-related issues using initiative and a proactive approach.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and workplace organisation at all times.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, managers, and colleagues to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Skills:
- Previous experience within a manufacturing, chemical, cosmetics, pharmaceutical, food production, or similar process environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.
- Ability to follow detailed procedures and work accurately within a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
- Positive attitude with a flexible and proactive approach to work.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience handling chemicals or operating manufacturing processes would be advantageous.
- Bendi, Flexi/Islemaster, or Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence preferred but not essential.
